In much of downtown Barnstable, at Bismore Park, at the Ocean Street Lot, and along Main Street in Hyannis, there is paid and time-limited public parking.
Outside of the core areas of downtown Hyannis, parking time limits are enforced on some of the village streets but only where signs are posted. Permits, such as beach stickers, Boat Owner permits, Slip Holder permits etc. are inspected and enforced throughout all villages as well, seasonally or year round, and as posted and as stipulated by the Town of Barnstable.
We enforce lawful public parking year round, 24 hours per day and year round.
During all hours, it is necessary to pay for parking at lots with pay to park machines or observe posted time limits at un-metered spaces on streets and in non-metered parking lots. If parking regulations are ignored you will be ticketed.
Both the metered and non-metered, time-limited spaces are monitored by enforcement personnel.
If you park in metered or an un-metered location for longer than the specified time limit, you must move your vehicle. If your vehicle has been parked in a particular location for longer than the posted time limit, your vehicle is likely to be ticketed.

Summer time limits, May 1-October 15th, at both Bismore Park and Ocean Street Lot is a 6 hour maximum. Winter time limits, October 15 th-May1st is a 12 hour maximum.
Bismore Park and Ocean Street Lot, both public paid parking locations, fees are as follows:
May 1st-October 15th: $2.00 per hour, each of the first 2 hours. $3.00 per hour each hour after that, with a time limit of 6 hours.
October 15th-May1st: $1.00 per hour with a maximum time limit of 12 hours.
There are long-term parking lots located near both Bismore Park and the Ocean Street Lot at seasonal rates. These are privately owned lots and are not associated with the Town of Barnstable.
Pay to park stations accept MasterCard, Visa credit/debit cards, Discover, American Express, U.S. nickels, dimes, quarters and dollar coins. Pay stations DO NOT accept dollar bills at this time.

Motorcycle parking at Bismore Park: The Town of Barnstable welcomes motorcyclists and has designated a number of spaces at Bismore Park for motorcycle parking only. Designated motorcycle spaces are signed and divided. Each motorcycle parking in one of our designated spaces or in a regular parking space must pay to park. Each motorcycle in each stall will receive a ticket if paid parking is expired or is parked without proof of paid parking.
Parking at Regulatory Services Offices is permitted during business hours and for town business purposes only. No parking is permitted after business hours.
