How to appeal a parking ticket
PARKING TICKET APPEAL FORM

- Fill in the top section with your name, mailing address
and telephone number. Please supply the ticket number as
well as your vehicle registration number (license plate).
- In the “Statement” section, please state your reasons in
detail for the appeal. Please supply any other documentation
that may have a bearing on your appeal such as photographs,
receipts, placard, diagrams, maps or other documents.
- If you have a handicapped placard please supply a copy
and mail it along with the hearing request form and the
ticket itself.
- Mail your appeal form and original ticket to Barnstable
Parking Clerk, 200 Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601, or email
your appeal.
APPEAL BY EMAIL
- Write a statement or use appeal form and send to the
Parking Clerk at
parking@town.barnstable.ma.us. The appeal should
include the following information: your name, mailing
address or email address and telephone number. Please supply
the ticket number as well as your vehicle registration
number (license plate).
- The statement should explain the reasons in detail for the
appeal. Please supply any other documentation that may have
a bearing on your appeal (i.e., photographs, receipts,
diagrams, maps and other documents).
- If you have a handicapped placard please supply a copy and
mail it along with the hearing form and ticket itself.
Email your appeal to the Parking Clerk at
parking@town.barnstable.ma.us.
APPEAL IN PERSON
- Email
parking@town.barnstable.ma.us or call the Parking
Division Assistant at (508) 862-4673, to request an in
person hearing. You will be advised when the hearing will
take place.
- Hearings are held once a month on Mondays at 2:00 p.m.
Bring your ticket along with any other documentation that
may have a bearing on your appeal (i.e., any photographs,
receipts, diagrams, maps and other documents) to the Town
Office Building, 200 Main Street, Hyannis, MA on the date
assigned. First come, first served.
